Fugitive Unit

The Fugitive Unit actively investigates persons wanted on warrants issued from the bench by all Atlantic County Judges. Criminals, Probation Violators, Deadbeat Parents, and other subjects wanted on warrants are arrested every day. The Fugitive Squad additionally investigates and apprehends persons wanted locally and nationally, and is an active participant in the United States Marshal Service New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. The Sheriff's Office is responsible to make every attempt to apprehend the individuals on these warrants. New Bench Warrants issued each year number in the thousands.
